Is that trade actually fair?

Build your board, then weigh a proposed trade against what your settlements actually produce. Giving away a resource you don’t make much of is cheap; giving away your one good source of something is expensive, whatever the exchange rate looks like.

Good trade for you

Replacing the 2 wood you're giving up would take your board about 10.3 turns on its own production. Waiting for your board to produce the 1 ore you'd receive would take about 12.0 turns instead.

What this does and doesn’t account for

The verdict compares how many turns your board would need to produce each side of the trade on its own, using the exact expected-production math from the resource-odds tool. It doesn’t know your current hand, what you’re trying to build next, or the robber — a resource you desperately need right now can be worth a bad trade on paper, and a resource you’re swimming in can make a “good” trade pointless. Treat it as a second opinion on scarcity, not a final answer.
