How many resources will I get?
Enter the numbers and resources touching your settlements and cities, and see exactly how many resource cards you can expect per turn — and how often you get nothing at all. Every figure here is exact two-dice math, not a simulation.
Why 6 and 8 matter
Two dice land on some sums far more often than others — a 6 or 8 comes up five times as often as a 2 or 12. The number below each token is exactly how many of the 36 dice combinations produce it (the same count printed as pips on the real tokens); 7 is left out because it moves the robber instead of producing anything.
This is also why a settlement built only on 6s and 8s is riskier than it looks despite being the hottest numbers on the board: it’s a concentrated bet on two specific rolls rather than spread across several, and 7 — the single most common roll, at 0.0% — moves the robber instead of paying anyone, which is exactly why experienced players spread settlements across different numbers rather than stacking them on the two best ones.
